Axle Locker Actuator Explanation

AXLE LOCKER ACTUATOR REMOVAL
1. Remove differential case from axle housing. Refer to CASE ASSEMBLY, DIFFERENTIAL, TRU-LOK, REMOVAL
2. Remove bearing from the actuator side of the differential case with Puller (special tool
#C-293-PA, Puller, Press) (Fig 1) #1, Plug (special tool #C-293-3, Adapter, Bearing/Gear) #2, and
Adapters (special tool #C-293-47, Block Set, Puller) #3.
3. Remove thrust washer (Fig 2) #1 from differential case and actuator #2.
4. Remove the actuator (Fig 3) #1 off of the pressure plate #2 and from differential case #3.

AXLE LOCKER ACTUATOR INSTALLATION
1. Install the actuator (Fig 3) #1 on top of the pressure plate #2.
2. Install thrust washer (Fig 2) #1 on top of the actuator #2.
3. Install differential side bearing with Installer (special tool #C-4213, Installer, Bearing) (Fig 4) #1 and Handle (special tool #C-4171, Driver Handle, Universal) #2.
4. Install differential into the housing. Refer to CASE ASSEMBLY, DIFFERENTIAL, TRU-LOK, INSTALLATION
