FRONT AXLE SHAFT BEARING ON DIFFERENTIAL SIDE REMOVAL
1. Remove differential case from axle housing. Refer to CASE ASSEMBLY, DIFFERENTIAL, REMOVAL or CASE ASSEMBLY, DIFFERENTIAL, TRU-LOK, REMOVAL.
2. Remove bearings (Fig 1) #2 from the differential case with Puller (special tool #C-293-PA, Puller, Press) (Fig 1) #5, Adapters (special tool #C-293-47, Block Set, Puller) (Fig 1) #1 and Plug (special tool #C-293-3, Adapter, Bearing/Gear) (Fig 1) #4.
NOTE: Use the same tools for the Tru-Lok differential.

FRONT AXLE SHAFT BEARING ON DIFFERENTIAL SIDE INSTALLATION
1. Install differential side bearings on Tru-Lok differentials with Installer (special tool #C-4213, Installer, Bearing) (Fig 2) #1 and Handle (special tool #C-4171, Driver Handle, Universal) (Fig 2) #2.
2. Install differential side bearings on open or Trac-Lok® differentials with Installer (special tool
#D-156, Installer, Bearing) (Fig 3) #1 and Handle (special tool #C-4171, Driver Handle, Universal) (Fig 3) #2.
3. Install differential into the housing. Refer to CASE ASSEMBLY, DIFFERENTIAL, INSTALLATION or CASE ASSEMBLY, DIFFERENTIAL, TRU-LOK, INSTALLATION
