OIL PUMP PICK-UP REMOVAL
1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the lower oil pan. Refer to PAN, OIL, REMOVAL
3. Remove the bolt (Fig 1) #3 from the oil pump pick-up tube support bracket.
4. Remove the bolt (Fig 1) #2 from the oil pick-up tube and remove the oil pick-up tube (Fig 1) #1 from the oil pump.
5. Remove and discard the O-ring seal (Fig 2) #1 from the oil pick-up tube.

OIL PUMP PICK-UP INSTALLATION
1. Lightly lubricate the new O-ring seal (Fig 2) #1 with engine oil and install on the oil pick-up tube.
2. Install the oil pick-up tube (Fig 1) #1 with two bolts #2 and #3. Tighten the bolts to 12 N.m (106 in. lbs.).
3. Install the lower oil pan. Refer to PAN, OIL, INSTALLATION
4. If removed, install the oil filter and fill the engine crankcase with the proper oil to the correct level. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE
5. Connect the negative battery cable and tighten nut to 5 N.m (45 in. lbs.).
6. Start and run the engine until it reaches normal operating temperature.
