REAR TRACK BAR DESCRIPTION
The rear track bar is a forged component with non-replaceable bushings on the frame and axle sides.

REAR TRACK BAR OPERATION
The track bar is used to control rear axle lateral movement and provides cross car location of the axle assembly.

REAR TRACK BAR REMOVAL
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Position a hydraulic jack under the axle to support the axle.
2. Remove the track bar bolt at the axle bracket (Fig. 1) #1.
3. Remove the track bar bolt and nut (Fig. 2) #2 from the frame bracket.
4. Remove the track bar (Fig. 2) #1 from the vehicle.

REAR TRACK BAR INSTALLATION
1. Install the track bar (Fig. 2) #1 to the vehicle.
NOTE: Frame bolt must be installed from the front to the rear of the vehicle.
2. Install the track bar bolt and flag nut (Fig. 2) #2 in the frame bracket.
3. Install the track bar (Fig. 1) #2 into the axle bracket.
4. Install the track bar bolt and flag nut (Fig. 1) #1 in the axle bracket.
5. Remove the supports and lower the vehicle.
6. Tighten the frame and axle mounting bolt/nut to 169 N.m (125 ft. lbs.) with full vehicle weight.
